CR1428 Fabrication is the brainchild of owner Toby Roberson. Toby has been working on and driving sand rails for more than 30 years. His passion and enjoyment in driving these vehicles, combined with his superior knowledge, led to a desire to create custom vehicles for others.
When Toby retired, he wanted to share his love and pleasure in driving these vehicles with others. It is his ambition to show others to the adventure in owning one of these buggies. They provide a sense of freedom other vehicles simply cannot. CR1428 Fabrication meticulously crafts each individual buggy to provide a safe, open - air, driving experience.
We aim to allow individuals who cannot drive a motorcycle, or who choose not to do so, the same type of exhilarating driving experience in the comfort of our sand rails.

Personal Craftsmanship
Each sand rail is created one at a time ensuring superior craftsmanship and attention to detail. For example, Toby and CR1428 Fabrication designed and built two custom sand rails for he and his wife to enjoy and drive all over the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Toby and his wife are significantly different in height, but that was no issue when it came to design. CR1428 Fabrication was able to construct custom sand rails to accommodate their varying statures. This is just one example of what truly sets CR1428 Fabrication apart from the rest.
